I write because some of the hardest parts of life are the ones people are expected to survive quietly. My own story has included abuse, barriers, rebuilding, entrepreneurship, family, and learning how to keep moving forward when the path in front of me did not look anything like the one I expected.
Writing gave me a way to turn experience into something useful. I do not want readers to walk away thinking strength means never struggling. I want them to see that strength can mean choosing yourself again, asking for help, setting a boundary, starting over, or simply refusing to give up.
If one person reads my work and feels less alone, more understood, or more capable of taking their next step, then the story did what I hoped it would do.
